Privacy Policy

Overview

This Nostr relay is self-hosted on privately owned hardware located in Australia. No third-party services are used for analytics, tracking, or data collection.

Data Stored

The following data may be stored on the server:

• Nostr events published to this relay, including event content, signatures, timestamps, and tags
• Media files uploaded by authorised users, stored as webp files on local disk
• NIP-05 identity mappings linking usernames to Nostr public keys
• Account metadata including registered usernames, domains, and Lightning addresses
• IP address logs for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention

Data We Do Not Collect

• No browser cookies or fingerprinting
• No analytics or telemetry
• No third-party advertising or tracking scripts
• No data sold or shared with third parties

Nostr Protocol Notice

The Nostr protocol is designed for public, decentralised communication. Events published to this relay are cryptographically signed by the author and may be replicated to other relays beyond this server’s control. Once published, the administrator cannot guarantee deletion of events from the broader Nostr network.

Data Retention

Events and media are retained on the server at the administrator’s discretion. There is no guaranteed retention period. Data may be purged at any time.

Security

All connections to this server are encrypted via TLS. Administrative access is protected by authentication. Database credentials are stored in local configuration files on the host.

Your Rights

As a user of a self-hosted relay, your data is subject to the administrator’s policies. You may request deletion of your own events by contacting the administrator.
